The Legal Stuff

The “legal stuff” seems to always sound nasty and unforgiving. But our lawyer (who we never invite to fun parties) insists we include it. We are very nice people, who endeavor to treat our customers fairly and respectfully at all times. We bend over backwards to keep them happy. For the rare times when a customer causes us to incur unreasonable costs, through no fault of our own, we must advise all customers of the following:

Policies, Terms, and Conditions

	There is no term to this agreement. Customer may cancel at any time for any reason. AM PM Cleaning may cancel at any time for any reason.
	AM PM Cleaning reserves the right to reevaluate rates at any time based on the time it is taking to perform our service to meet the customer’s standards. Customer will be contacted to discuss possible price or service revisions if the cleaning time differs drastically from the original bid.
	We do our best to be as flexible as we can with the schedule. If you need to change a cleaning day or time, we will do our best to accommodate you. A minimum one-business day notice is required.
	Payment is due at time of service in the form of cash, check or money order, or major credit card.
	There is a $10 fee if you neglect to leave payment, and we, at our discretion, complete the cleaning and leave an invoice. A 12% finance charge will be added to unpaid balances over 30 days. To avoid incurring extra fees, you may leave a credit card number on file with our office in the event you forget to leave a check on your cleaning day.
	Monthly billing is available upon request at no extra charge. Service is billed in advance and due on the 15th of each month. A 12% finance charge will be added to unpaid balances over 30 days. A $15 late fee will apply if payment is not received by the 15th.
	There is a $25 fee for any check returned by your bank. If your bank is in error, they should reimburse you for this expense. There is a $75 fee, plus any attorney’s fees, in addition to the balance due, for any account we must refer to collections.
	There is a $25 late cancellation/lock-out fee for canceling or rescheduling a visit after 12 noon the business day before our cleaning visit. The same fee applies if we are unable to gain access of your home, through no fault of ours. On the rare occasion when we must cancel or reschedule a cleaning without 24-hour notice, you will receive a $25 discount on your next service.
	You are liable for an employment referral fee of $2,500 per person, should you directly employ (either legally or on a cash basis) anyone currently employed by us, or employed by us within the six-month period prior to such employment. You agree to pay this fee whether you notify us of your action or we discover this employment independently anytime after it occurs. You further agree to reimburse us for any and all collection or legal fees we incur in collecting this fee.
	If we are specifically requested to dust/clean inside of a hutch or china cabinet, dust any computer equipment, or wash dishes, customer agrees not to hold AM PM Cleaning responsible for damage to any article or component.
	While we make every effort not to break items, accidents do happen. Identical replacement is always attempted but not guaranteed. For this specific reason, we request all irreplaceable items (whether monetarily or sentimentally valuable) be stored and/or not cleaned by our staff. AM PM Cleaning must be notified within 48 hours of service if damage is discovered.
	AM PM Cleaning is not responsible for damage due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. All surfaces (i.e. marble, granite, etc.) are assumed sealed and ready to clean without causing harm.
	The safety of our employees is an important issue. Therefore, all firearms in a client’s home must be stored and locked.
	AM PM Cleaning may change the Policies, Terms, and Conditions upon reasonable notice to the customer.
